Music Together Muskoka - Our Teachers

		Allie Mason Allie grew up in a small town north of Peterborough, Ontario and has been singing since she's been a toddler. Music came naturally to her as both of her parents met in highschool band. Her Mother's love of classical music played throughout their house growing up and Allie spent many Saturday night's attending the Peterborough Symphony watching her Mom play French Horn. Allie was a member of the Peterborough Children's Choir for 5 years in elementary school and went on to complete her Grade 8 Royal Conservatory exam on Flute. Allie was first introduced to Music Together^® in Kingston, ON, after her son, Beau was born in 2014. She was fascinated with how Music Together Classes enhanced his learning, musical abilities and love for singing and dancing. After moving to Muskoka in 2016, Allie felt there was a need in south Muskoka for a music class so she attended the Music Together teacher training and is now a certified Music Together teacher and Centre Director for Music Together Muskoka. When Allie isn’t jamming with her kids at home (or in Music class), you might find her caring for Premature Infants at Mount Sinai’s NICU or guiding families through their breastfeeding journey as a Lactation Consultant Registered Nurse. Her love for babies and children started well before Nursing school and continues to grow whether it be in a hospital setting or in a Music Together classroom.

		Cassandra Loudon Meet Cassandra! Cassandra grew up in Guelph, Ontario as the youngest of three, in a home where music was just part of everyday life. With her dad on piano, her sister switching between flute and guitar, her brother playing sax and clarinet, and Cassandra singing along, family jam sessions were a regular thing! She sang in church, concert, and chamber choirs throughout high school, and more recently performed for three seasons with the Muskoka Rock Choir. Cassandra has been attending Music Together classes with her two children since her first was just one month old. Through her Music Together Teacher Training, she discovered a real passion for how babies and young children develop rhythm and pitch from such an early age. She loves sharing this knowledge with families and helping parents feel confident making joyful music with their little ones. When she’s not singing, you’ll likely find Cassandra camping with her family or relaxing with friends around a backyard fire. She can’t wait to make music and memories with you and your family!

		Lia Scott Meet Lia Lia Scott was a very shy child who found her voice through music. It started in kids' music classes, and she has loved singing, dancing, and creating ever since. She studied acting, singing, and dancing at Randolph College for the Performing Arts in Toronto. She later worked with producer, songwriter, and mixing engineer Mike Schlosser to develop her sound and songwriting, and trained vocally with Micah Barnes of The Voice. She has since recorded original songs with producer Mark Zubek of ZEDD Records. Lia is a singer-songwriter with music available on most online music platforms, including Frozen and It Ain't Easy, both with music videos. Lia taught Music Together in Toronto and loved every moment of it. She also worked as a singing princess for children's parties and events with Little Jingle Beans, and facilitated musical theatre summer camps and after-school programs at the YMCA. Now that she's settled in Huntsville, she's thrilled to be back at it, singing, moving, and playing alongside the little ones of Muskoka and their grown-ups. Outside of Muskoka Music Together classes, Lia is an HCA Registered Health Coach™ and the founder of Lia Scott Wellness, where she supports creatives and deep feelers here in Huntsville and online. She's also currently writing new songs. Lia can't wait to share the joy of music with your family.

		Emerald Owen Meet Emerald! Some of you may recognize Emerald from our classes — she’s been attending Music Together with her own child for the past two years! Her love for the program and her joy in watching children connect through music inspired her to take the leap into teaching. Emerald is a lifelong music lover with a deep fascination for the patterns of sound and the way music connects us as people. Growing up in a musically creative family, she developed a keen ear and a love for the joy that shared music can bring. With experience in early childhood care and a naturally playful spirit, she creates a warm, engaging space where little ones can explore, move, and make joyful noise together. Emerald will be completing her Music Together teacher training in November 2025, and will be leading classes in Bracebridge on Sundays!
